WHAT AWAITS YOU:

Computer scientists specialising in application development develop and program software for their own company or for client’s companies. For example, they enhance in-house programs or develop new solutions that are tailored to our own operational needs, respectively customer requirements. They install software applications, put them into operation and, if required, instruct users on how to use them. Regular updates and maintenance, IT support and, where necessary, consultation services, e.g. regarding IT security question, may also be part of their remit.

• Type of training: dual training in industry and commerce (governed by training regulations)
• Skilled IT occupations focus: application development, system integration, data and process analysis or digital connectivity
• Duration of training: 3 years
• Training venues: training firm and vocational school (dual training)
• Type of teaching: teaching in blocks of one week each
• Vocational school location: Bayreuth
