WHAT AWAITS YOU:
Electronics engineers for automation technology analyse functional contexts and process sequences of automated systems and design modifications as well as add-ons. They install and adjust electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems and install measurement, control and regulation devices. As part of this, they install, configure, program and adjust sensor systems, operating systems, bus systems and networks. They combine installed components to form complex automation systems, which they integrate into an overall system. Following test runs, they hand over the systems and instruct future users in their operation. In addition to this, electronics engineers for automation technology also monitor and maintain automation systems. They use test software and diagnostic systems to locate, analyse and rectify faults.
